Generations of stone, effort and memory
The manor house and its outbuildings
Can Mas is a 17th-century farmhouse. It is made up of the manor house, the tenant farmers' house, the hayloft, the stables, the drying room, the cellar and its threshing floor. These buildings stand together, forming one large house, although not all of them connect inside.
The restaurant "Els Senglars"
In the 1970s some extensions and new buildings were added to turn it into a restaurant (terraces, kitchen and dining room). For some 40 years it was the restaurant "Els Senglars", run by Jaume and Maria, the previous owners.
Even today, 15 years later, the odd visitor who remembers the place turns up expecting to find the restaurant. Many locals share their stories, memories and experiences of this place: first communions, family gatherings and more. We understand it has been a place of joy, celebration and togetherness.
The restoration, with effort and a lot of love
In 2012 it came into our hands, and we have been restoring it ever since, with effort, enthusiasm and a great deal of love... We aim to recover the essence of this farmhouse, respecting the charm of the stone, the spirit of times past and the structures we keep discovering as we go.
What Can Mas once was is gradually re-emerging: a beautiful stone farmhouse. A place of peace. Of reconnection. Of life...
